He also wants to know about applications you have created so he can use them as a showcase to let other potential users see the great things which are possible with Delphi for PHP.

You can complete the survery here: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=670UnJiLigVoyIxbhcfH_2bQ_3d_3d

I’ve moved the Delphi-php.net blog and forum from a shared hosting package to a Virtual Private Server (VPS). The reason for the move is to speed up the forum and to stop users getting MySQL errors (2006).

It also allowed us to make two great changes to the forum:

Language Plugin - This allows you to view any page on the forum in 30 different languages! This will allow users from non-english speaking countries to read the forums in their own language.

Search String Length - We have reduced the minimum search string length on the forum from 4 characters to 2! This was done so users can now search for 2 and 3 letter php functions and objects like $db or words like “url”.

If you can think of any other improvements you would like to see, leave a comment below or drop me an email!

Cheers ….
Gerald.

Just read on the CodeGear site that Qadram software has signed an agreement to develop a professional web application. The application will be written using VCL for PHP… and the great news is the core of this application will be released under GPL which means we all get to download and use it in our own web applications created using Delphi for PHP!

The bad news is the development of this web application is going to take approximately 1 year

The application is planned to be developed in a modular way, in order to be reused for developing other software solutions, like e-commerce stores, CMS systems, etc.
